Memory Verse:
Memorizing the monthly Bible verse is a great way for kids to "Apply God's Word to their lives today."

We offer a number of ways to help kids memorize these verses:

1) Take Home Pieces - Refrigerator door card and God Time Devotional

2) Motions that match the verse

3) A prize at the end of the month (as an incentive). Please note that these are only available for 2 weeks at the end of the series. Kids must be present one of those weeks to get the prize.

The Zone is where Kindergarten - 3rd graders experience energetic music and teaching that allow children to grow in Wisdom, Faith and Friendship.  Children interact with others in their grade while learning about God from a consistent group leader.

september's virtue in the zone (k-3rd grade) is knowledge- discovering what god says so you can be better at whatever you do.

This month our Zone kids will learn that God is the ultimate source of knowledge, He is omniscient.  As our Hillside Kids begin to understand what God says, they will learn that God uses the virtue of knowledge to shape us to become more like Him. As they grow in their knowledge of what God says, it will change their perspective and they will start seeing things the way God sees things-which will help them to make wise choices. They will also understand that it not only is important to know what God says and do what God says, but it helps them to know how to grow closer to God. God wants a relationship with us. He wants us to make Him our priority. He wants His Words to take hold of our minds and hearts because His Words are life to us.
