Welcome to Hillside Community Church - Keller, TX

Memory Verse Mania:
Memory Verse Mania is a game show held at the beginning of each service.

The MC will call up 3 volunteers, one 4th grader, one 5th grader and one 6th grader, to compete against each other.  The MC could ask them any number of questions about recent memory verses.  One example might be "What is 1 Peter 2:17."  The kid who rings the bell first gets to try to say the verse from memory.  The kid who gets the most answers right wins a prize.

Then we will keep a tally of which team wins.  At the end of each quarter we will have some sort of prize for all the kids on the team that wins for that quarter.

Kids can also get an individual prize if they can do that month’s verse on their own.  Kids have to download a form by clicking here. and have their parent sign the form if they can say the verse.  Then they bring in the signed form on the last week of the month for their prize.

Kids can win a memory verse prize one of three ways…

1) They can compete in the Memory verse mania game and win a prize if they can answer the questions.

2) They can get an individual prize by clicking here to download a form and having their parents sign off that they know the verse.

3) They can win a group prize by being a part of the team that wins for the quarter.

Zone 456 is a cool place where pre-teens can start to make their faith their own. Worship music, crazy games, relevant teaching, and purposeful small group discussions are all part of this ministry.

september's virtue in zone456 (4th-6th grade) is knowledge-discovering what god says so you can be better at whatever you do.

In September our Zone456ers will learn that their knowledge about God can influence or impact their friends, neighbors and family members. As others notice them living out the virtues they are learning, they will have more opportunities to share Jesus. Since God is omniscient, all-knowing, God desires for us to know what He says so that we can make wise choices. When we know what He says through His Word, we will know how to love and treat others and help them to know God too. God's Word is what we need to navigate life's choices, problems and temptations wisely. By learning the virtue of knowledge you understand that God wants a close relationship with us. When we get close and personal with God, our lives change, our attitudes adjust and our actions become focused on others rather than ourselves. When that happens, we will definitely impact those around us so that they will desire a relationship with God too.

Kids will learn about knowledge as we study Bible stories like these:
