Day One

Abide in Jesus

Read: John 15:1-8
Reflect: Do the patterns of your daily life reflect a life that abides in Jesus?
Pray: Lord, show me ways I can reset throughout the day to put you first in everything.

Day Two

Read: Luke 5:15-16

Reflect: We live in a world that is constantly attempting to fill our time with more noise – sometimes even good noise. Do you create space for yourself to spend time with the Father in solitude (without your phone)? What gets in the way of that happening?
Pray: Lord, help me to create space in my day to be solely present with you.

Day Three

Read: John 10:3-5

Reflect: Do you feel like you can recognize the voice of Jesus? If not, what do you believe is hindering you from being able to?
Pray: Jesus help me to know your voice and to follow your leading

Day Four

Read: 1 Thess 5:16-18

Reflect: We all have an unceasing, internal monologue. One way we develop an unceasing prayer life is by directing that monologue heavenward, inviting God into the conversation as we process our daily lives.
Pray: Father, direct my thoughts toward you throughout my day.

Day Five

Read: Galatians 5:25

Reflect: All of the scripture this week points to a life of walking with Jesus and becoming more like Him. When Paul is writing to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4 he uses words like “train” and “practice” in the same way that one would talk about their time at the gym; start small and grow in strength. That is how we are to approach the practices that we encountered this week (prayer, fasting, scripture), and do them in step with the Spirit who leads us. If those are already aspects of your life then we hope this week worked well into your rhythms with Jesus, and if you’re working on arranging your life more around the things of Jesus, then we hope this week encouraged you and that you’ll continue.
Pray: Jesus, thank you that you continue to make me more like you and that I can create space in my life for that to happen
